Susan grew up gardening in Wayne PA.  Matriculated at Tulane University with a degree in Art History and later a graduate degree in Art History from Temple. Worked with Pfizer Pharmaceuticals before becoming a stay at home mom for two sons at their family home in Devon, PA.  Susan returned to the work force in 2008 to help open the flag ship terrain (Urban Outfitters home and garden retail) site in Glen Mills PA where she was a plant buyer from 2008-2015 and 2017-2020. The two year gap was a family move to Birmingham AL where it opened up a whole new palette of plants! Joining Roots in 2020 was not unfamiliar as the team was previously terrain Landscaping. As the Fine Gardening Manager, her goal is to create a relationship personalized to each clients needs and fulfilled through the horticulturists on site.

When not developing her own gardens, she especially loves trail running through the woods. She currently lives in Phoenixville with her coonhound Mae.
